for the Z community. Keep your nose clean, and don't get in over your head. As long as you are a 'hobbyist' doing this type of work, you're OK; but if you begin to work full-time and this becomes your sole source of income; then you need to visit a local government small business office. There are tax issues and maybe local licensing requirements. Most of all you want to be protected against liability problems, e.g., you forget to tighten lug nuts... car loses wheel... bad accident... someone hurt or injured. I am trying not to get ahead of you here, but just be aware, that when you take money for work, you enter a completely different realm than if you are helping a buddy work on his car.
